DNS IN DANDY HORSE!

The Deadly Nightshades are proud to support the Dandy Horse Magazine. Launched only two days ago, at a smashing party at the Cine Cycle here in Toronto, Dandy Horse appeals to the everyday cyclists like ourselves, by approaching a wide range of topics with an attitude that says JUST RIDE...

Photos of the Nightshades were taken from John Lee's series Me and My Bike, and appear on the last 100% recycled, waterless printed page.

You will find complimentary issues at local shops across Toronto.

Post Script:
A “dandy-horse” was an early predecessor to the modern bicycle. Patented in 1818, The dandy-horse was a two-wheeled vehicle, with both wheels in-line and handlebar steering, propelled by the rider pushing along the ground with her or his feet as in regular walking or running.

Nightshades Send-Off Party for Namtron!!!

FACT: Although the Deadly Nightshades do spend most of their time causing shit, drinking beer and getting in trouble, they all also happen to be out-of-control, kick-ass Toronto fashion designers/artists/pr reps with careers and shit... sometimes this requires moving to a new city (Vancouver) to work for amazing fashion companies (rhymes with Mumumelon).
Congratulations Namtron, we'll miss you!!!

4th year notebook sketches

Hello lovelies!

As we all know moving is a bitch. But one of the charming things about it is goin through all your old stuff and getting sentimental. Even though it was only a few months ago, my memories of fourth year at Ryerson are dim (defense mechanism). But as I was sifting through all my crap I found some of notebooks from the year, and decided to commit them to digital.

I found three drawings which completely sum up my feelings on fashion. Actually it's more two individuals who sum it up. One, Valerie Steel, is basically my hero. She's super intelligent and sassy and looks at fashion in culture with a critical yet fond eye.

The other, who will remain nameless, is a catty, immature jerk. Insert rant here, I've just done it too many times already it's gotten boring. The pictures can speak for themselves....
